
Kevin M. Barnes, Jr.
Kevin Barnes, Jr., is a lifelong native of St. Tammany Parish having been born and raised in Madisonville, Louisiana.
Prior to joining the Oriol Law Firm, Kevin was an associate attorney in the New Orleans office of Garrison, Yount, Forte & Mulcahy, LLC. During his time there he learned the art of managing heavy caseloads in civil litigation practice which included automobile insurance defense, general negligence, personal injury, workers’ compensation, property damage, and insurance coverage disputes.
Kevin’s education includes an undergraduate degree in Business Management from Southeastern Louisiana University (2006) and a Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center in (2020), where he was a member of the Trial Advocacy Board. During his time on the board, Kevin was elected three times as an executive board member and was awarded the board’s President’s Award in 2019. Prior to law school, Kevin served as a Louisiana State Trooper for almost a decade.
Kevin is licensed to practice law in the State of Louisiana and the United States District Court, Eastern District of Louisiana.
Kevin and his wife Crystal Barnes live in ST. Tammany Parish with their three sons. Kevin enjoys spending time with his family outdoors, traveling, hunting and fishing.
